From the Moment..

From the moment I laid eyes on you,
I saw the greatest man alive.
I met your eyes and saw in them
a deep soul, and loving heart.

From the moment when I spoke to you
Your words enchanted me so.
Shy, but i was happy..
Happy that you’d think of me.

From the moment when I called you
My life changed forever.
I had a partner, I had a best friend
I had someone to stand by me.

From the moment I gave my heart to you,
You reached and gave me yours as well,
You protected it well and loved it alot
and so, I’m forever thankful.

And the moment that you proposed to me
I felt more than just alive
I had a purpose, I had a meaning
Oh how grateful I am to have you,
to marry you, and to love you for the rest of my life.

Sitting here alone with a pen in my hand
Wondering
Where you are in life right now
Watching
The time go by
Waiting
For you to come
 
For you to come love me.
 
Hoping
That someday I’ll find you
Wishing
That the day would come sooner
Praying
That you’d feel the same
 
Sitting here alone with a longing for love
I sing to myself
For there is no one to listen to me
Wanting
You to be here
Craving
Your sweet touch
 
Longing for you come love me.
 
And then
You came.
Knowing
I’d love you
more than anyone else could.
